Southeastern Missouri, Kentucky to Experience Sweltering Weekend Heat

Paducah, KY – The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for Kentucky and southeastern Missouri, predicting high temperatures and oppressive humidity over the next few days.

According to the US National Weather Service in Paducah, KY, dry weather is expected today, but hot and humid conditions will increase on Friday and peak on Saturday. Friday’s heat index is forecasted to range between 93 and 100 degrees, while Saturday’s heat index could reach a sweltering 102 to 110 degrees. Relief is anticipated on Sunday with a cold front bringing potential storms and slightly cooler temperatures, with a heat index ranging from 83 to 90 degrees.

In Paducah, temperatures are expected to rise to 90 degrees on Friday and peak at 95 degrees on Saturday. The heat will persist on Sunday with a high of 90 degrees before cooling down to 85 degrees on Monday. Cape Girardeau, MO, will also see high temperatures, with Friday reaching 88 degrees and Saturday climbing to 94 degrees. Sunday could bring relief with highs around 88 degrees.
