Southeastern Michigan Weather Alert: Thunderstorms to Hit Friday

Detroit, MI – Southeastern Michigan is preparing for a shift in weather patterns as showers and thunderstorms are forecasted to arrive late Friday night, extending into Saturday.

According to the US National Weather Service Detroit/Pontiac Michigan, today will see patchy morning clouds giving way to a sunny afternoon with highs in the mid-70s. The night is expected to be mostly clear and cool with lows near 50. Friday’s forecast predicts partly cloudy skies with temperatures reaching around 80 degrees. However, the evening will bring increasing cloud cover, leading to showers and thunderstorms late Friday night.

The weekend will start with a wet and stormy Saturday, with highs between 80 and 85 degrees. Thunderstorms are anticipated to persist throughout the day. Saturday night will see a drop in temperatures, ranging from 57 to 62 degrees, as the weather system moves through.

Sunday promises relief with dry and mild conditions, highs between 70 and 75 degrees, and low humidity levels, providing a pleasant end to the weekend. Nighttime temperatures will hover between 50 and 55 degrees.
