Detroit, MI – Southeastern Michigan is set to experience scattered showers and thunderstorms today as a cold front moves through the area. The National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac issued a forecast predicting these conditions through early afternoon. Temperatures are expected to range from the mid-70s to low 80s.
According to the National Weather Service, the wet weather will give way to drier conditions starting Thursday. Highs on Thursday will reach the upper 70s to low 80s, with lows in the mid-50s to low 60s. This trend of warming temperatures will continue into the weekend.
Friday will see sunny skies with highs in the low 80s and lows again in the mid-50s to low 60s. The weekend promises even warmer weather, with highs climbing to the mid-80s on Saturday and the upper 80s on Sunday.
Looking further ahead, temperatures are expected to reach near 90 degrees by Sunday, and this heatwave will persist into the next week. Monday and Tuesday both have projected highs near 89 degrees. However, Tuesday may also bring another round of thunderstorms, with a 55% chance of precipitation.
