Detroit, MI – Southeastern Michigan residents are advised to stay vigilant as isolated severe thunderstorms are expected to bring damaging winds and hail up to 1 inch in diameter this evening. The National Weather Service (NWS) in Detroit/Pontiac issued the alert earlier today, emphasizing the potential for significant weather impacts.

According to the NWS, the most likely timeframe for severe weather is between 4 PM and 10 PM. The storms are anticipated to move from west to east at approximately 40 mph. Residents are urged to secure outdoor items and prepare for possible power outages due to high winds reaching up to 60 mph.
