Detroit, MI – Southeastern Michigan is set to experience another hot and humid day, with afternoon highs expected to rise toward 90 degrees. The National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac reports that heat indices could peak in the lower 90s, making for a sweltering day.
According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will climb steadily throughout the day, reaching around 91 degrees by 3 p.m. Although there is a slight chance of an afternoon thunderstorm, significant rain is not expected until after 10 p.m. The weather will remain partly sunny and muggy.
The 10-day forecast shows varying weather conditions. Friday brings a high of 83 degrees with a 70% chance of rain, potentially offering some relief from the heat. Saturday and Sunday will see highs of 85 and 89 degrees, respectively, with mostly sunny skies. Early next week, temperatures will drop slightly, with highs in the low 80s on Monday and upper 70s on Tuesday, along with a 45% chance of rain.
