Milwaukee, WI – Fog is developing across portions of east-central to southeast Wisconsin this evening, creating potential travel hazards for drivers, according to the National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan.
The agency reports that fog is forming in low-lying and grassy areas behind an exiting band of low clouds and could expand overnight. Visibility may become limited, especially along highways and rural routes stretching from Fond du Lac through Milwaukee and Waukesha Counties.
According to the weather service, drivers should slow down, use low beam headlights, and be alert for rapidly changing visibility conditions. The highest potential for fog extends through the Milwaukee metro area, with patches likely to linger into the early morning hours of Monday, October 14.
No dense fog advisory has been issued as of Monday evening, but forecasters caution that conditions could worsen if fog thickens overnight.
Residents are advised to plan extra travel time for Tuesday morning commutes and check for updates from local weather officials.
