Knoxville, Tenn. – A steady surge of early-season warmth is expected to build across Tennessee and North Carolina, bringing above-normal temperatures and generally dry conditions heading into early April.
According to the National Weather Service Climate Prediction Center, the 8-to-14 day outlook from Friday, March 27 through Thursday, April 2 shows a strong signal for above-normal temperatures across both states, with near- to slightly below-normal precipitation expected.
In Tennessee, including Nashville and Knoxville, daytime highs are expected to climb steadily, with warmer afternoons becoming more consistent. Areas along I-40 and I-75 may see temperatures rise efficiently under extended periods of sunshine.
Across North Carolina, including Asheville and Charlotte, similar warming is expected, though mountain areas may see slightly more variability. Piedmont and foothill regions are likely to experience the most consistent warmth.
While isolated showers cannot be ruled out, widespread rainfall is not a dominant signal during this period, keeping overall conditions relatively dry.
Residents are encouraged to stay hydrated, monitor changing conditions, and take advantage of the warmer spring pattern while remaining mindful of increasing dryness.
This pattern is expected to persist into early April, with additional updates likely as temperature trends evolve.
