Tallahassee, Fla. – Severe weather continues to threaten parts of the Southeast U.S., with tornado watches and flooding risks extending across Florida, Georgia, and Alabama through Sunday. Dangerous storms are already impacting southeast Alabama and southwestern Georgia, while the Florida Panhandle remains under heightened alert for potential tornadoes and damaging winds.

According to the National Weather Service in Tallahassee, a brief break in storms is expected later today as an upper-level low shifts westward. However, storms are forecast to return early Sunday morning, bringing heavy rain, renewed severe weather, and increasing flood risks—especially in areas already soaked this week.

Communities from Dothan and Bainbridge to Tallahassee and the Florida Big Bend should prepare for additional storms Sunday afternoon. Major travel corridors, including I-10 and U.S. 84, may face hazardous conditions due to flooding and severe storms.

Residents across the tri-state area are urged to stay weather-aware, limit non-essential travel, and charge devices in case of power outages. Storm activity is likely to continue into Sunday evening, with more alerts possible. Stay tuned for updates.
