Philadelphia, PA – A winter storm is set to impact Philadelphia and surrounding areas Tuesday into Wednesday, bringing accumulating snow and hazardous travel conditions. Forecasters warn of up to 6 inches of snow across southeastern Pennsylvania, with heavier totals possible in southern New Jersey and Delmarva.

According to the National Weather Service, snow will begin Tuesday afternoon, intensifying into the evening and potentially affecting the Wednesday morning commute. Areas along the I-95 corridor, including Philadelphia and Trenton, could see between 1 to 4 inches, while Delmarva and southern New Jersey may receive 4 to 8 inches. Snowfall rates may exceed 1 inch per hour in the heaviest bands.

Drivers should prepare for slick roads and reduced visibility. Snow may mix with rain near the coast, limiting accumulation but increasing icy conditions. Winds will remain between 10-15 mph.

Additional snowfall or a wintry mix is possible Wednesday night, particularly north and west of I-95. Residents should monitor forecasts for updates and be prepared for travel disruptions.
