DETROIT, Mich. – Skies remain cloudy across metro Detroit this morning, but conditions will brighten by late afternoon as drier air moves in, setting up a stretch of mild weather to close out the workweek.
According to the National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac, clouds will gradually break today with highs in the upper 70s. Tonight will be partly cloudy and cooler, with lows settling near 60 degrees.
By Thursday, southeast Michigan turns mostly sunny and pleasant, with temperatures reaching near 80. Friday brings more sunshine and slightly warmer readings in the lower 80s. Winds will stay light, and no rain is expected through the end of the week, providing ideal conditions for outdoor activities, commuting, and late-summer events.
Drivers may still encounter damp spots on roads early Wednesday, but pavement will dry quickly under improving skies. Residents are advised to take advantage of the comfortable stretch, as more unsettled conditions could return by the weekend.
The weather service says this dry pattern holds until Friday night, when clouds may begin to increase again.
