Southeast Michigan – A Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until Monday morning, creating hazardous driving conditions across Southeast Michigan. Residents are urged to drive cautiously as visibility drops to a quarter-mile or less in many areas.

According to the National Weather Service, the advisory will last until 10 a.m. Monday, particularly impacting major roadways, including I-75 and M-59. Areas of dense fog will begin to lift by late morning, but scattered rain showers will persist through the afternoon with temperatures reaching the low 50s.

Tuesday will see a shift to cooler and breezy conditions, with highs only reaching the low 40s. Dry weather is expected, offering a brief reprieve before midweek changes. On Wednesday, snow showers will move into the region, with a chance of rain mixing in the far southern areas. Accumulations are expected to remain light, with totals under an inch for most areas. However, localized spots in the Thumb region could see up to an inch of snow.

The cooling trend continues into the late week as temperatures drop further. Thursday will bring partly sunny skies, but highs will struggle to reach the low 30s. By Friday, the region faces another chance for light snow as a colder pattern settles in.

Motorists should remain vigilant on Monday morning, using headlights and slowing down to accommodate reduced visibility. As temperatures fall later in the week, icy roads may develop, further increasing the need for caution.
