Detroit, MI – Rain will move across Southeast Michigan tonight, bringing much cooler temperatures to the region through midweek. Residents should prepare for lows dropping into the 30s each morning, significantly cooler than last week.

According to the National Weather Service, light showers will continue this evening, with temperatures falling to around 43 degrees. Rain is expected to linger through Monday morning, impacting commuters across I-75 and I-94. Those on the road should exercise caution due to slick surfaces and reduced visibility.

Looking ahead, Monday will bring more scattered rain with highs only reaching 53 degrees and overnight temperatures plummeting into the low 40s. Southeast Michigan will continue to feel the chill as Tuesday introduces the coldest air of the week, with highs struggling to break 50 degrees and morning lows dipping into the 30s. Wednesday morning could see temperatures as low as 32 degrees, with frost possible in more rural areas.

By Thursday, conditions will clear with sunny skies and highs climbing back into the 60s. Lows, however, will remain in the 30s, meaning residents should be prepared for frosty mornings throughout the week. If you’re out on the roads early, expect slower driving conditions due to potential frost buildup.
