Detroit, Michigan – Quiet, dry conditions continue across southeast Michigan this weekend, but a round of thunderstorms arriving late Monday night could disrupt overnight travel and slow the Tuesday morning commute.

According to the National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac, cooler but seasonable air remains in place through Sunday, with highs ranging from 49 to 64 degrees Saturday and rebounding slightly into the mid-50s to mid-60s Sunday. Morning lows will dip into the mid-30s to mid-40s, especially in outlying areas like Ann Arbor and Monroe.

Conditions stay dry through most of Monday, with temperatures climbing into the mid-60s to low 70s across Detroit, Flint, and Pontiac. Storms are expected to develop after 8 p.m. Monday and continue into early Tuesday, bringing periods of rain and embedded thunderstorms.

Drivers along I-94, I-75, and I-696 should prepare for wet roads and reduced visibility overnight into the early Tuesday commute. While severe weather is not currently the primary concern, heavier વરસાદ bursts could lead to brief ponding on roadways and slower travel during peak hours.

Residents should take advantage of the dry weekend to prepare, including checking drainage areas and charging devices ahead of the next round of storms. Additional updates are expected Monday afternoon as timing and rainfall intensity become clearer.
