Detroit, MI – Severe thunderstorms are possible Tuesday, with the greatest risk expected Tuesday night.
According to the National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac, a slight risk for severe weather is in place, with storms potentially developing early in the morning and increasing again later in the day.
Forecasters say the main threat window will be after 8 p.m. Tuesday, with storms continuing into the overnight hours. Possible hazards include damaging wind gusts of 60 mph or greater, large hail over one inch in diameter, and isolated tornadoes.
Heavy rainfall may also lead to localized flooding in some areas.
