Detroit, MI – Southeast Michigan will see a shift in weather this weekend, as rain showers are expected to move into the area starting Saturday and continue through Columbus Day. Thursday and Friday will remain dry, but residents should prepare for a rainy weekend.

The National Weather Service forecasts sunny skies and a high near 63 degrees today, followed by a clear and cool night with lows around 46 degrees. Friday will bring more sunshine and warmer temperatures, with highs reaching 76 degrees. Winds will be light, making for a pleasant end to the workweek.

However, showers will begin to roll into the region late Saturday, with a 60% chance of rain starting after 2 a.m. into early Sunday morning. Saturday’s high will reach 66 degrees, but the rain is likely to persist through the day, extending into Sunday afternoon with a high near 61 degrees.

Sunday night brings continued chances of rain, with showers likely before 2 a.m. Lows will drop to 42 degrees overnight. The rain is expected to last through Columbus Day on Monday, with cooler temperatures settling in and a high near 54 degrees.
