Detroit, MI – Southeast Michigan residents can expect a wet and stormy week ahead, with daily chances of thunderstorms and temperatures hovering in the low to upper 70s.

According to the National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac, scattered showers and storms are forecast each day from Monday through Friday. The strongest storms may produce wind gusts of up to 50 mph, with Tuesday noted as having the highest storm chances at 60%.

High temperatures will remain consistent, ranging between 70 and 78 degrees through the week. Overnight lows will dip into the mid-50s to low 60s, providing only modest relief from the damp conditions.

Forecasters warn that some embedded thunderstorms could become strong enough to cause localized hazards, particularly due to gusty winds exceeding 40 mph. Residents are advised to secure outdoor items and monitor updates as the week progresses.

The National Weather Service highlights that while rain chances decrease slightly by Friday, a 30% risk of showers and storms still lingers to close out the workweek.

Travelers and commuters should prepare for potential delays due to downpours and reduced visibility. Outdoor activities may also be impacted, with the most unsettled weather expected Monday through Thursday.
