Corpus Christi, TX – Residents across South Texas should prepare for a stormy stretch midweek as showers and thunderstorms increase Wednesday and Thursday with the arrival of a cold front.
According to the National Weather Service in Corpus Christi, rain chances will peak between 50% and 70% on Thursday as the front stalls across the region. High temperatures will dip slightly from near 100 degrees on Wednesday to the mid-80s to lower 90s by Thursday.
By Friday, the system will begin to move out, bringing a noticeable drop in both rainfall and temperatures. Rain chances decrease to around 10–25% Friday through Sunday, with highs expected in the mid-80s to mid-90s and overnight lows falling into the mid-60s to mid-70s.
The cold front is expected to deliver slightly cooler, more comfortable conditions for the weekend, offering some relief after weeks of heat. Saturday looks to be the driest day, with only a 10–15% chance of isolated showers and plenty of sunshine.
Residents planning outdoor events should remain weather-aware Wednesday and Thursday, when heavier downpours and isolated thunderstorms could disrupt activities and travel.
