Corpus Christi, TX – Residents across South Texas will see warm and sunny conditions Thursday before rain chances return heading into the weekend.

According to the National Weather Service in Corpus Christi, highs today will range from the upper 80s along the coast to the mid-90s inland, including Alice, Beeville, and Cotulla. Winds will remain light and variable with mostly clear skies. A very low (10%) chance of isolated showers is possible inland, though most areas are expected to stay dry.

Looking ahead, the forecast shows a gradual increase in rain chances starting Friday. Forecasters project a 50% chance of showers and storms for the Coastal Bend on Friday, decreasing to 30% Sunday. Rain probabilities remain near 40% into early next week.

Temperatures will continue to run warm, with afternoon highs between 85 and 96 degrees and overnight lows in the upper 60s to mid-70s. Beachgoers should be aware of a low risk of rip currents along Gulf beaches.

Meteorologists advise residents to plan for hot, humid afternoons today but also prepare for scattered storms over the weekend that could bring localized heavy rain.
