Corpus Christi, Texas – Scattered thunderstorms and rising winds are expected to impact parts of South Texas Tuesday, with a 30–60% chance of rain stretching from Laredo to the Victoria Crossroads.
According to the National Weather Service in Corpus Christi, the highest storm potential spans the northern Brush Country to Beeville and Victoria, where gusts could reach 20 mph by this afternoon. Rain chances taper farther south but can’t be ruled out entirely. Daytime highs will climb into the upper 80s to near 90 inland, while coastal cities like Rockport and Corpus Christi remain in the low 80s.
Localized showers could create slick roads during evening commutes. Drivers should stay alert in areas like U.S. 281 near Alice and I-37 around George West. Secure loose outdoor items, and avoid travel during thunderstorm activity.
Tonight, skies turn mostly cloudy as storms diminish. Overnight lows will settle in the low 70s, with a light southeast breeze continuing at 10–15 mph.
Rain chances are expected to dip further by midweek, but additional updates may follow if storm activity increases.
