Fort Wayne, Indiana – Drivers across Northern Indiana should watch for isolated storms this afternoon, particularly along and south of US 30, where pop-up showers could briefly impact travel and outdoor plans.
According to the National Weather Service in Northern Indiana, most of the region will remain dry through Wednesday, with today’s storm risk limited to southern counties. Temperatures will gradually rise through midweek, reaching highs in the mid-to-upper 80s by Wednesday afternoon. Lows tonight will dip into the low to mid-60s under mostly clear skies.
Areas such as Warsaw, Wabash, and Fort Wayne could see a brief downpour or thunderstorm this afternoon, though coverage will be spotty. Travel on US 24 or State Road 15 may be affected by brief wet pavement or reduced visibility during any storms.
Residents are advised to stay weather-aware today, especially south of US 30, and to limit outdoor activity during peak heat hours as temperatures climb through the week. Those with outdoor events or work should prepare for rising heat and stay hydrated.
The warming trend continues through Thursday, with no major rain systems in sight.
