Miami, FL – Hazardous beach and marine conditions are slamming South Florida this weekend, as high winds and rough surf bring dangerous rip currents and elevated fire weather risks through Sunday night. Coastal areas from Palm Beach to Miami are under continued advisories as gusts near 30 mph and surf reaches up to 8 feet.
According to the National Weather Service in Miami, strong easterly winds of 20 to 25 knots will persist through Sunday, keeping local marine and beach conditions hazardous. Rip current risks remain high across Atlantic beaches, including Miami Beach and Fort Lauderdale. Residents and visitors are strongly advised to avoid swimming and monitor local safety alerts.
Onshore, gusty winds and dry conditions could trigger fire weather concerns inland. While no red flag warnings are currently in place, elevated fire weather risks remain across South Florida counties.
