Miami, FL – South Florida is bracing for a combination of extreme heat and scattered rain showers over the next few days. A Heat Advisory has been issued from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today, with heat indices expected to reach between 105 and 110 degrees.

According to the National Weather Service Miami, potential relief from the intense heat may come from intermittent showers and storms. However, residents should be aware that heat effects can persist beyond 6 p.m. The advisory spans several regions, including Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach.

Today’s rain chances are notable, with Palmdale and Clewiston having a 70% likelihood of showers, and Miami seeing a 38% chance. This pattern continues through the weekend and into next week, providing some respite from the heat but also bringing the potential for localized flooding in some areas.

The forecast for the upcoming days shows a mix of sun and rain. On Saturday, temperatures will reach 93 degrees under mostly sunny skies. Sunday brings a 35% chance of rain with a high of 92 degrees. Rain chances increase to 50% on Monday, with temperatures slightly cooler at 89 degrees.
