South Florida Weather Alert: Heat Indices Soar Amidst Scattered Storms

Miami, FL – Scattered showers and storms are set to develop again today, with the highest chances remaining over Southwest Florida this afternoon. A Heat Advisory is in effect for all of South Florida as heat indices are expected to range between 105 and 110 degrees.

According to the National Weather Service Miami, today’s temperatures will soar, with Clewiston and Immokalee reaching 94°F and 95°F, respectively. Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach will see highs around 91°F to 92°F. Rain chances vary across the region, with Immokalee at 54%, Everglades City at 48%, and Miami at 29%.

The heat will persist through the weekend, with temperatures hovering in the low to mid-90s and scattered thunderstorms likely each afternoon. Friday and Saturday have a 50-55% chance of rain, while Sunday is expected to see similar conditions with a 50% chance of showers.

The outlook for next week indicates continued warm temperatures and periodic rain. Monday through Wednesday will see highs around 90-91°F, with rain chances remaining between 40-50%. Residents are advised to stay hydrated and avoid prolonged outdoor activities during peak heat hours.
