Miami, FL – South Florida residents can expect a hot and humid day with a mix of sunshine and afternoon thunderstorms. Highs are projected to reach the low to mid-90s, with peak heat indices soaring between 102-108 degrees. The National Weather Service Miami office has issued a heat advisory for Broward and Miami-Dade counties due to these extreme conditions.
According to the National Weather Service, the best chances for afternoon showers and thunderstorms are around southwest Florida, with Immokalee facing a 49% chance of rain and Naples at 53%. In Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Homestead, rain chances are lower, around 18%, while West Palm Beach has a 15% chance of precipitation.
The upcoming days also promise continued warm conditions. Friday and Saturday are forecast to be sunny with highs around 91 degrees. Sunday will be slightly warmer, hitting 93 degrees. By Monday, rain chances return with a 35% likelihood of showers, persisting into Tuesday with highs around 90-91 degrees.
