Sioux Falls, SD – This weekend will bring dry and cooler conditions to South Dakota, providing relief from recent summer heat. However, residents should prepare for a potential shift in weather early next week.

According to the US National Weather Service in Sioux Falls, today will be partly sunny with breezy conditions and high temperatures ranging from 66 to 76 degrees. Sunday will see mainly sunny skies with highs between 70 and 77 degrees, though late-night showers are possible.

Monday’s forecast indicates cloudy skies with showers and storms, and there’s a chance for severe storms and heavy rain. Highs will range from 69 to 81 degrees. On Tuesday, there’s another chance for showers and storms, particularly east of I-29, with temperatures expected to reach between 78 and 85 degrees.

Dew points, currently in the 60s to lower 70s, are predicted to drop into the 50s by tonight and Saturday, creating a cooler and more comfortable atmosphere. By Saturday night, lows are expected to fall into the upper 40s to lower 50s.

Today’s conditions are clear with a high of 71 degrees, while Sunday will remain clear with a high of 73 degrees. Monday and Tuesday will see a 45% chance of rain with highs of 72 and 81 degrees, respectively. Wednesday is expected to be sunny with a high of 82 degrees.
