Sioux Falls, SD – A Red Flag Warning has been issued for parts of South Dakota as dry, breezy conditions combine with above-average temperatures to heighten fire danger today. The warning is in effect as temperatures rise between 65-70°F with gusty winds.

According to the National Weather Service, the warming trend is expected to continue through the week, with highs reaching into the upper 60s to low 80s by the weekend. Isolated showers will be possible this evening and again Thursday morning, with partly cloudy skies expected for the rest of the week.

For Thursday, temperatures will range between 53-66°F, with the possibility of light showers in the morning. Friday will bring mostly sunny conditions with temperatures near 60-69°F. As we approach the weekend, temperatures will climb into the upper 70s and low 80s with breezy conditions persisting.
