Kerrville, Texas – Soaked roadways and fast-rising streams are disrupting travel across Kerr, Edwards, and Real counties as rounds of heavy rain trigger a Flood Advisory through at least 2:30 p.m. Monday. Several low-water crossings in and around Ingram, Hunt, and the Devil’s Sinkhole State Natural Area could become impassable, with up to five inches of rain reported in parts of Kerr County.

According to the National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio, radar and local gauges confirmed between two and five inches of rainfall as of late Monday morning. Additional downpours are expected, bringing up to one more inch through mid-afternoon. Residents in low-lying areas near Harper, Waltonia, and Prade Ranch are urged to avoid flooded roads and monitor local updates, as minor flooding and water over rural highways are ongoing.

Urban and small stream flooding remains a threat in the hill country, especially in poor-drainage spots and along creeks near Mountain Home and the Kerr Wildlife Management Area. Drivers should steer clear of any water-covered routes and seek alternate paths. If you’re camping or hiking, stay far from streams that may rise quickly.

Rain will begin tapering off later today, but additional alerts remain possible if storms redevelop. Stay weather-aware and check for updates as advisories may be extended into the evening.
