Wichita, KS – A stretch of warm and dry weather continues across central, south-central, and southeast Kansas as the region heads into the weekend. Overnight lows tonight will fall into the 40s and 50s, but forecasters warn that patchy fog may develop in parts of south-central and southeast Kansas, potentially reducing visibility before sunrise.
According to the National Weather Service Wichita office, Friday will bring mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies with highs ranging from 74 to 77 degrees—well above average for mid-November. Conditions remain dry and stable, setting up another warm day on Saturday.
Saturday will feature similar warmth, with highs climbing into the upper 70s to near 80 degrees. Breezy conditions are expected during the afternoon, though no precipitation is in sight. Winds may create occasional crosswind impacts for drivers on east–west roads, but overall travel conditions remain favorable.
A subtle shift begins Sunday as slightly cooler air filters into the region. Highs will fall back into the mid-60s to low 70s, though skies are expected to stay mostly sunny. The cooler air will be more noticeable during the morning and evening hours but will not bring any significant weather impacts.
Residents should watch for patchy fog late tonight into early Friday, especially near Winfield, Arkansas City, Chanute, and surrounding communities.
