Residents can enjoy the lower 80s during the day, with temperatures dipping into the low 70s by 7 p.m., making jackets unnecessary for most. The National Weather Service (NWS) advises that tonight’s weather will remain mild and dry, creating safe and enjoyable conditions for Halloween events.
According to the NWS, high temperatures across the Midlands region will reach between 80 and 83 degrees during the day. Columbia, Sumter, and Cheraw are all set to hit 82 degrees, while areas such as Augusta and Orangeburg may reach 83 degrees. Evening temperatures will gradually cool into the high 60s by midnight. Patchy fog could develop after 2 a.m., potentially impacting early-morning drivers, so those on the roads are advised to exercise caution.
Looking into the weekend, sunny skies and warm days are forecasted to persist. Friday will remain mostly sunny with highs in the lower 80s. Overnight, temperatures will cool to around 62 degrees, with patchy fog expected after 5 a.m. Saturday morning. Saturday’s high will again hover near 83, with a partly cloudy night and lows around 61 degrees.
Sunday’s weather will be partly sunny with a high of 78, offering another warm day for outdoor activities. By Sunday night, temperatures are expected to drop to around 58, with patchy fog returning in the early hours of Monday morning. Monday’s forecast includes mostly sunny skies and a high near 78.
As fall temperatures remain mild, residents are encouraged to enjoy outdoor activities but remain vigilant about morning fog, particularly for early commutes.
