Spartanburg, SC – A frosty end to the week will give way to a sunnier, warmer weekend for Upstate South Carolina residents. Tonight’s temperatures will dip as low as 21°F under mostly clear skies, but significant relief is on the way.

According to the National Weather Service, sunshine will dominate Friday, with highs reaching 43°F. Nights will remain cold, dropping to around 20°F, but calm winds should make conditions more manageable for those venturing out.

Saturday will bring even more improvement as temperatures climb to 47°F. Light southwest winds will maintain the clear and pleasant conditions. If you’re planning outdoor activities, Saturday afternoon is an excellent time to enjoy the sunshine.

By Sunday, highs will soar to 52°F under partly sunny skies, making it the warmest day of the week so far. Overnight lows will remain cold at around 32°F, so those heading out early should still bundle up.

Looking ahead, Monday promises even milder weather, with highs reaching 54°F under mostly sunny skies. The warming trend is expected to continue into next week, offering a welcome break from the frigid temperatures of recent days.

Drivers are advised to remain cautious during the colder nights, as icy patches could still form on roadways like I-85 and I-26, especially in shaded areas.
