SPARTANBURG, S.C. – A calm, cool dawn settles over the Upstate, mist clinging to fields and rooftops as a gray deck of clouds slides overhead. The region wakes to another mild early-November morning — quiet for now, but a brief chance of rain lingers before sunshine dominates the week ahead.

According to the National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg, clouds will persist through much of Sunday with only a slight 20% chance of light rain late tonight, mainly north of I-85. Any sprinkles will fade before dawn Monday as drier air sweeps in. By sunrise Monday, the region turns sunnier and warmer, setting the stage for several pleasant, dry days.

Temperatures will climb steadily through the week, from near 60 today to the upper 60s by Tuesday and around 70 by midweek. Lows will hover in the low-to-mid 40s, keeping mornings cool but frost-free. Winds stay light from the north, adding to the calm and stable pattern.

La Niña’s influence continues to steer storm tracks north of the Carolinas, helping lock in a mild and tranquil setup for much of November’s first half. To be fair, residents should still keep an eye on later-month trends — forecasters note that La Niña winters can flip quickly, producing colder snaps by late November or early December.

For now, though, Upstate residents can expect a beautiful run of weather — great for hiking, leaf cleanup, or early holiday decorating. Sunshine and light breezes will hold through the end of the week, with no major systems in sight.
