Spartanburg drivers along I-85 will see dry, calm weather through Tuesday, with cooler mornings giving way to bright sunshine by afternoon. After a humid stretch, South Carolina’s fall weather pattern begins to settle in, keeping roads clear and skies stable for commuters.

According to the National Weather Service Greenville-Spartanburg office, Tuesday will be mostly sunny with highs near 76 degrees and light northeast winds. Overnight lows drop near 60, creating crisp, cooler nights that mark a shift toward fall. Calmer conditions also reduce travel hazards, but drivers should remain alert for morning fog in valleys and shaded roadways.

Wednesday brings another sunny stretch, with highs near 80 and clear skies through the night. Temperatures gradually climb into the mid-to-upper 80s by Thursday and Friday, but humidity levels remain low, making conditions more comfortable than earlier in the month. Outdoor plans, school activities, and local traffic should see few weather interruptions.

Weekend weather stays mostly dry, though scattered showers could develop Saturday afternoon. Sunday turns cooler again, with highs around 80 and clear skies dominating much of the day.

Residents are encouraged to enjoy the stretch of calm, stable weather but plan ahead for warmer afternoons later in the week. With no major storm systems expected, the pattern provides a welcome break from unsettled conditions earlier in September.

Warnings remain unlikely, but the National Weather Service will continue monitoring late-week cloud buildup and Saturday’s rain chance.
