According to the National Weather Service, strong storms are expected to develop after 11 a.m. Wednesday, with the heaviest rain and thunderstorm activity likely between 8 p.m. and midnight. Rainfall totals may exceed 2 inches in some locations, especially along I-26 and U.S. Route 1, raising concerns for flash flooding and hazardous evening driving.

Tuesday evening may also bring isolated storms before 2 a.m. Wednesday, but the main concern shifts to Wednesday night. Residents should secure outdoor items, charge devices in case of power outages, and avoid low-lying roads after dark.

Thursday clears briefly with mostly sunny skies and a high near 93°F, but scattered storms may still develop in the afternoon. Friday brings calmer conditions ahead of the holiday, with highs in the mid-90s and mostly clear skies through the night.
