Spartanburg, SC – Temperatures will remain below seasonal averages Saturday as sunny skies and dry air dominate the region. Highs will reach just 50°F today, offering chilly but clear conditions for outdoor activities. However, a shift in weather patterns will bring significant rain starting late Sunday night, potentially affecting travel and outdoor plans early next week.

According to the National Weather Service, Saturday night will see lows drop to 31°F under clear skies, with light southwest winds calming the region. Sunday offers a brief reprieve, as temperatures climb to a milder 66°F amid increasing cloud cover. Showers are expected after 2 a.m. Monday, followed by steady rain and highs near 57°F. The rain may be heavy at times Monday night and into Tuesday, with a 90% chance of precipitation.

Commuters should prepare for wet roads along I-85 and surrounding highways Tuesday morning as heavy rain could cause hazardous driving conditions. By midweek, rain chances will taper off, but cooler weather will return Wednesday, with highs near 54°F and lows dipping to 27°F.

Plan ahead for potential delays, and ensure vehicles are prepared for wet weather conditions. Residents are encouraged to monitor updates as forecasts evolve.
