Florence, SC – The Florence County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 17-year-old boy last seen in Effingham.
According to investigators, Jerrel Washington Jr., of Whippoorwill Road, was last seen at his residence on Friday. Deputies said he is believed to have left voluntarily. He was last seen wearing gray pants, a black hoodie, and orange shoes. Washington is described as being about 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing approximately 150 pounds.
Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward. According to the sheriff’s office, tips can be reported by calling (843) 665-2121, ext. 80427, or through the FCSO app on Apple and Android devices. Tipsters may also remain anonymous by contacting Crime Stoppers of the Pee Dee at 1-888-CRIME-SC. Officials said information leading to an arrest in a crime could qualify for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
Deputies emphasized that all leads, no matter how small, can help locate the missing teen.
