Columbia, SC – After several days of widespread rainfall, Columbia and much of central South Carolina can expect milder weather through Tuesday evening with limited precipitation and rising temperatures.
According to the US National Weather Service Columbia, South Carolina, rain chances have diminished significantly, with only isolated to scattered showers expected today, May 13. Northern counties face a 30-50% chance of rain, while southern parts of the state are seeing lower odds of 20-35%. Despite the chance for a storm or two, severe weather is not anticipated.
Temperatures are projected to reach highs of 78°F to 83°F, with overnight lows between 61°F and 66°F. The overall weather pattern is showing signs of warming, marking a shift from the previous cooler, wetter conditions experienced across the region over the past few days.
Residents should remain weather-aware during the afternoon and early evening hours, as pop-up storms may occur. Motorists should be cautious on roads that may become slick during isolated showers. No weather advisories are currently in effect.
