Clover, SC – Authorities are asking for the public’s help after a camper was reportedly stolen early Saturday morning from a storage facility in Clover.
According to the York County Sheriff’s Office, the theft happened around 1 a.m. Saturday at Lake Wylie Self Storage, located at 4580 Charlotte Highway. Deputies said a 2019 Rockwood Geopro Camber camper was taken after an unknown suspect entered the open gated lot and stayed there for a period of time.
Investigators reported the suspect was driving a possible 1996 Ford Ranger or Mazda pickup truck. Surveillance footage shows the vehicle leaving the facility while towing the camper. The truck was last seen exiting toward the Clover area and did not proceed toward Charlotte, N.C., deputies said.
The Sheriff’s Office released photos of the truck and camper in hopes that someone may recognize them. Officials urged anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers of York County or submit an anonymous tip online.
Authorities continue to investigate and said the stolen camper may still be in the region.
