Fort Wayne, Indiana – Scattered storms and showers will taper off tonight across northern Indiana, with roads south of US 24 likely to see patchy fog into early Monday morning. Drier air arrives Monday, bringing a break from the humidity and highs ranging from 84 to 87 degrees.

According to the US National Weather Service Northern Indiana, any lingering fog should clear quickly Monday. Residents in cities like Fort Wayne, South Bend, and Warsaw can expect mostly sunny skies and more comfortable conditions to start the workweek.

Heat and humidity will make a quick return by Tuesday. Highs are expected to climb to between 87 and 90 degrees, especially in areas along and south of US 24, with only a slim 20–30% chance of a stray shower or thunderstorm. Drivers should use caution in fog-prone areas overnight, and everyone is advised to stay hydrated and limit strenuous outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day.

This marks one of the hottest stretches so far this summer for northern Indiana, with increased energy demand likely. More advisories may be issued if heat or storms intensify.

Warnings for heat and humidity remain in effect into Tuesday. Watch for further updates from local officials.
