South Bend, Ind. – Northern Indiana will experience one final opportunity for showers and thunderstorms early this week before a stretch of cooler, less humid weather settles into the region for the second half of the week.

According to the National Weather Service Northern Indiana, the best chance for rain arrives Monday night into Tuesday, when scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to move across the area. Communities including South Bend, Fort Wayne, Elkhart, Warsaw, Goshen and surrounding areas can expect highs between 80 and 85 degrees Monday and 80 to 87 degrees Tuesday, with overnight lows remaining in the upper 50s to near 60 degrees. While widespread severe weather is not anticipated, residents with outdoor plans should monitor forecasts for changing conditions.
