South Bend, IN – WWII-Era Explosives Found, Prompt Bomb Squad Response

South Bend, IN – South Bend police responded Monday morning to the 600 block of Donmoyer Avenue to investigate potential World War II-era explosive devices.

According to the South Bend Police Department, officers arrived around 9:50 a.m. and spoke with individuals who discovered the devices while cleaning the property. The department’s Bomb Squad determined the devices were not live.

Authorities remind the public to contact 9-1-1 if they encounter any suspected dangerous or explosive items.
