South Bend, IN – Two suspects have been booked on murder charges in connection with a 2023 homicide in South Bend.
According to police reports on January 23, South Bend Police responded to a shooting report in the 500 block of S. 29th Street. Officers arrived to find 31-year-old Justin Stewart suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following an investigation by the South Bend Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit, 34-year-old Christopher Brown and 30-year-old London Davis were identified as suspects and subsequently arrested. The St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office has charged Brown with murder and conspiracy to commit murder, while Davis has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder.
