South Bend, IN – Sargent Micek left his South Bend home on May 4, 1989, and never returned. His disappearance remains unsolved 36 years later.
That night, the 22-year-old went to the former Cap n Cork bar at LaSalle and Niles Avenues. Around 3:30 a.m., he called his mother from the former Bear’s Den Tavern on Michigan Street. He was never seen again.
According to South Bend Police, while Micek is presumed deceased, his family continues searching for answers. Authorities urge anyone with information to come forward.
