South Bend, IN – An early morning shooting at Prosper Apartments in South Bend has escalated to a homicide investigation. The incident, which took place just before 1 a.m. on the 200 block of Rue Flambeau, left three people injured.
According to the South Bend Police Department, one of the three wounded individuals has died from his injuries. His name is being withheld pending next-of-kin notifications.
The South Bend Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit is leading the ongoing investigation. Authorities have not released any further details regarding suspects or motives at this time.
