Pittsfield, ME — Three people were arrested Wednesday afternoon after a months-long drug investigation led to the seizure of a large quantity of fentanyl and cocaine from a Pittsfield residence, according to the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, detectives executed a drug search warrant around 1:50 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at a home on Sibley Pond Road in Pittsfield. Investigators allege illegal drugs were being sold from the residence following an extended investigation by the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Division.

During the search, deputies and detectives reportedly seized approximately 780 grams — about 1¾ pounds — of fentanyl and cocaine, along with a loaded 12-gauge shotgun, $4,084 in cash, digital scales, and other drug-related paraphernalia. Authorities estimate the street value of the seized drugs at approximately $78,000.

The warrant was executed with assistance from the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Division Detectives, Patrol Deputies, a Pittsfield Police Department officer, and an agent from the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.

Hector Marrero, 34, of New Jersey, was arrested and charged with two counts of Aggravated Trafficking in Scheduled Drugs (Class A). According to officials, Marrero is currently on federal probation for prior drug-related convictions in New York. His bail was set at $100,000 cash, and he is scheduled to appear in Somerset County Unified Criminal Court on May 6, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.
