Morristown, TN – Light snow is anticipated tonight across parts of the Smoky Mountains and western North Carolina, with significant accumulation possible at higher elevations.
The National Weather Service reports that areas above 4,000 feet, such as Newfound Gap and Mt. LeConte, could see 1 to 2 inches of snow, with isolated totals reaching up to 3 inches. Snow-covered roads, particularly secondary routes, bridges, and overpasses, may cause hazardous driving conditions by early Monday morning.
Travelers are advised to exercise caution and monitor updates through NOAA Weather Radio or local media.
