Baltimore, MD – Snow squalls fueled by a secondary arctic front are expected to impact the Mid-Atlantic region Wednesday, creating hazardous travel conditions along the I-95 corridor.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), the squalls will bring bursts of heavy snowfall, strong winds, and near-zero visibility. Flash freezing on roadways is also likely, making driving extremely dangerous. The affected areas include portions of Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Delaware, with conditions worsening during peak travel hours.

Residents are urged to monitor weather updates and delay unnecessary travel during the squalls. If driving is unavoidable, motorists should exercise caution, reduce speed, and avoid sudden braking.

Cold temperatures will persist through the week, with icy roads remaining a concern into Thursday morning.
