Pittsburgh, PA – A bitter cold stretch continues across western Pennsylvania, with temperatures staying well below freezing through midweek. While mostly dry conditions persist, snow showers could return by Thursday as an arctic air mass lingers.

According to the National Weather Service, Tuesday night will be partly cloudy with a low of 9°F, and wind chills dropping near zero. Wednesday will see mostly sunny skies with a high of 24°F, but light winds will keep it feeling colder.

By Wednesday night, there is a 30% chance of snow showers, with accumulation expected to stay below half an inch. Thursday will bring a higher chance of snow, mainly before midday, with a high of 24°F.

Temperatures begin to moderate by Friday, with highs near 29°F, and a more significant warm-up is expected this weekend. Highs could reach the upper 30s by Sunday, marking a break from the deep freeze.

Residents should bundle up, limit outdoor exposure, and prepare for slick roads on Thursday. Stay tuned for updates on changing conditions.
