Salt Lake City, UT – A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from noon today through noon Monday for the Wasatch Mountains north of I-80, as another early-season snowstorm targets northern Utah, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Salt Lake City.

Forecasters expect 4 to 8 inches of snow north and east of I-84, with locally higher amounts up to 12 inches possible in the Bear River Range. Lower mountain areas adjacent to I-15 may see 1 to 4 inches, creating slick roads and reduced visibility this evening into Monday morning.

The NWS warns that winter driving conditions are likely on US-89 through Logan Canyon and along State Route 39 east of Ogden, especially overnight when snowfall rates increase. Motorists are urged to slow down and use extra caution, particularly during the Monday morning commute.

Drivers can check real-time conditions through the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) at udottraffic.utah.gov, and view snowfall projections at weather.gov/slc/winter.

This storm marks another round of active fall weather for the region, with cold temperatures and mountain snow expected to linger through early week.
