Gaylord, MI – Northern Michigan will remain in a prolonged snowy pattern through midweek, with daily snow chances and occasional accumulations expected, according to the National Weather Service in Gaylord.
Forecasters say most areas will see 1–2 inches of snow at a time over the next five days, with temperatures hovering in the 20s and low 30s. Snow showers will linger through Saturday, followed by widespread light to moderate snow Sunday. By early next week, stronger winds and lake effect snow are expected for areas near northern Lake Michigan.
The most significant system may arrive Tuesday into Wednesday, bringing the potential for more widespread accumulating snow across northern and central Michigan. Motorists are urged to use caution, allow extra travel time, and prepare for slick road conditions during commutes.
The cold and unsettled weather pattern is forecast to continue into midweek before temperatures slightly rebound late next week.
