Syracuse, Ind. – The National Weather Service in Northern Indiana reports that patchy dense fog will persist in spots this morning before snow spreads across the region early this evening into tonight.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect as 2 to 4 inches of snow are expected across northern Indiana and northwest Ohio, creating slick and snow-covered roads for the Monday evening commute. Snow will taper late tonight, but scattered lake effect snow showers will linger into Tuesday morning.
Temperatures will drop into the teens overnight, keeping travel conditions hazardous into early Tuesday. Motorists should slow down and allow extra travel time.
